My Blackberry is set to GMT and shows a time of 14:10. When the GPS starts in TMJ the time changes to 15:10 (European time) in the application and placed my position 2 57 E.

I have upgraded to the latest version but I cannot see a setting relating to BST.

The Blackberry is set to Dublin/London/GMT with the Date/Time Source as Blackberry.

What else should I check?

Thanks

Hi,

Check that Menu/GPS/GPS Options/Parse NMEA Data is *not* ticked. This option sets TMJ to decode the internal GPS's simulated NMEA data (this is the data format that is otherwise used for communicating with bluetooth devices). Unfortunately it seems that most BlackBerrys generate gibberish data for this, which can confuse TMJ. (I will probably remove this option from future BlackBerry versions)...

This probably explains the timezone problem as well.

For example, the BlackBerry NMEA data gives 5 degrees West (ie Ireland-ish) as -5W. It should either be 5W or -5E! And for the time it incorrectly encodes the NMEA time as the local time, but this *should* actually be UTC time.

Hope that fixes it!

Cheers,
Stephen
