ChrisM 9:02 Location: Phone Model: | So, I have a few waypoints that I've created on the website, and a bunch that I've created on the phone whilst out and about. If I do a 'Web -> Update Waypoints' from the phone, is it supposed to upload the phone's waypoints to the website as well as download the web ones to the phone? At the moment, it is just downloading the web ones to the phone. The phone ones are not making it onto the website... Am I doing something wrong, or is that the way it is supposed to work? In that case, is there a simple way of getting my phone's waypoints to the website? Regards, Chris.
Stephen 16:23 Location: Phone Model: | Mmmm, yeah - any waypoints added on the phone *should* be uploaded to the website. The website acts as the 'master store' - each time you use the Update Waypoints function the phone sends to the website any new or edited Waypoints. The website then sends the complete list of waypoints back to the phone in response. If the waypoints on your phone aren't getting to the website then there may be a problem or bug. It could be that the phone has 'forgotton' that the waypoints are new and so isn't sending them to the website, though I'm not sure why this should happen. If you save the waypoints as an Ozi WPT file I'll add an importer to the UPLOAD links on the left - shouldn't take too long. Once the waypoints are complete on the website it might then be worth clearing all the waypoints from the phone, re-sync with the website, add a new point to the phone, re-sync again and see if the new point does get to the website...! Cheers, Stephen
Stephen 17:43 Location: Phone Model: | I've now added the UPLOAD/Waypoints from WPT File page to the left menu...
ChrisM 21:38 Location: Phone Model: | That's done the trick... Waypoints seem to be working as expected now. I think I'd confused it somehow... I have been messing about with waypoints a bit lately, especially when upgrading between versions of TMJ. Cheers, Stephen. Chris.
