Guys, i would like to use TMJ without a gps reciever on my mobile phone just for navigating around on the OSM maps. I checked all the settings but did not find one like jump to given waypoint so i'm stuck at 0/0 coordinates and would have to scroll around a bit to reach europe.. :D

Yeah, theres not a lot to see at 0,0 except for a few fish! :-)

Press [*] on the Waypoints page to jump to that waypoints location on the map. Also, to generally browse around a map press [6] twice to jump to the centre of the current map.

Hope that helps!

Well ...

actually there is something to see at 0,0! Check out the following links:

I actually contributed a confluence as well:

If only I had TMJ with me at the time ...

Cheers,

Mark.

There is a google maps thing for mobile phones, however i and the providers recomend getting an internet package for youre mobile (i have an unlimeted packagage (1gb lol)) worth of mobile internet. the google maps program for mobile phones is very good, and is probly hours of fun, it does have a pathfinder part to it, (tell it where you wnat to go adn it give directions) there is also a beta feture where it uses the mobile masts to determin youre position, it also has a map and satalight vew feture, and doenst take up much space.

hope this helps
