Subject: | Program expired and not working on Nokia E51
rjshv 1:57 | I was using TMJ regularly and on 23-Aug-08, after connecting to the BT GPS receiver, TMJ threw a 'Program Expired!!' message saying the current beta version has expired and a new version should be downloaded. I was using the beta 0.6.1. On downloading and installing from the web, the version was still 0.6.1 and the problem continued. Please help. I need to use the program. -Rajesh, India
Stephen 10:38 Location: Phone Model: | Hi Rajesh, v0.6.1 is valid until November, so for some reason it seems to be getting confused by what the current date. When connected to a BT GPS device the date is taken from the GPS signal. Some GPS devices occasionally give an inaccurate date when they are first switched on (mine tends to give the year as 2005, but if yours gives a date in the future then this will confuse TMJ). Try leaving the GPS outside for a few minutes to get a good signal (it'll probably have a flashing light or other indicator to show when a signal has been achieved), then once it has got a signal, switch on TMJ - the GPS should then tell it the correct date and the Program Expired message won't appear. rjshv 17:32 | Thanks a lot for the prompt and smart reply Mr.Stephen. That seems to have sorted the problem out. It's working fine now.
