diego 13:40 | Yes, I just heard it on the news, and looks like a big thing. Specially since I feel a bit disillusioned with the fact that Android is not scheduled to support standard java virtual machines. So I guess we will soon see TMJ inside Symbian phones! Or am I wrong???
Stephen 10:14 Location: Phone Model: | Hi Diego, Yes, it looks like there might be quite a few changes to the mobile phone market coming up. Regarding Symbian though, most of these phones have Java builtin already (eg the whole Nokia Series 60 range, and many high-end Sony Ericssons) so I don't see the need to write a Symbian-specific TMJ version. Shame about Android though (and the Apple iPhone too) - maybe some third party will come up with a way to run a JVM on them. If Android is truely open-source, then I don't why this couldn't be done (in theory at least)! Cheers, Stephen
